Outside Accent Paint Help

My wife and I are painting the outside part of the house that has these wooden panels. not really sure what it is called.

You can see the yellowish cream color that is in the picture.

Anyway, we are looking for some suggestion that would work well with our house. We are pretty traditional with our taste.

I would paint the panels and the vertical trim around them the same color as the rest of the siding. There's enough detail on the front of the house already without all that busyness. When we had our house repainted this year we did away with the extra trim detail paint and I think it made the house look a lot cleaner.

I would do kind of a coastal blue grey colour... Attaching photo (ignore that it is siding just referring to colour only) anyway I think it would suit the style of the home.

Love the color above...with the light gray...I think you will love it! Then paint the front door Navy...

I would paint them the same color as the siding and they would not stand out as much.

I agree with handyman. the panels are not special attractive features to highlight.

I meant paint the panels the same color as the siding, which appears to be a pale grey. Leave the trim to be white.

I also meant paint the panels the same color as the siding, but I think that with all the already white trim and all the gables, plus the white grid panes in the windows, it might look better with the vertical trim around the panels to also be painted the gray. Then the facade will look less chopped up and busy.

Yes cwcalaska, I agree. :) it worked well on your own home. It looks nice with just the trim around your windows and doors having the accent color.

I agree paint the panels the same colour as you siding. Also paint the garage door the same colour as you siding. Paint your front door and side panels black.
