Can I assume that you will be going to the location at least for one meeting? If so, I would check with the local municipalities inclusive of building inspectors for referral. Check out building styles that you like as you might be able to find out through the municipality who does a large volume of good work in the area. The interview of a contractor is equally important, check references in each case.
