I'm in the process of designing our new kitchen. The kitchen itself is a bit of a galley kitchen, so we taking down the wall separating it from the living room and putting an island there to open it up. Above the island we'll be putting two small pendent lights (see picture).
Facing the island will is the other side of the "galley" (lots of counter top) and two large windows. I'll be needing two other lights on that other side to keep those counters/working areas well lit. I was thinking of having one of each of the same kind of pendents hanging in front of the windows over the counter, but wondering if I should be using a whole other kind of light. (ie. aesthetically, will this look like too many pendent lights?).
The kitchen itself will be grey (ikea grey lidingo), white counters, white subway tile, chrome and stainless steel accessories, and honey coloured wood floor).
I'm sorry I don't have any pictures, the reno doesn't begin until the new year :-/
