I guess you are right about the frames. I will hang them on a different spot. They were mementos from a trip... what color and type of chairs should I go with? Something blue? I don't want to do cream colored chairs as I already have cream sofa in the living room.

Thank you for the input. Two chairs and a accent table. Got it. I still have the computer dilemma. It's a screen with a CPU and all. I don't think a slender table will fit all those things below the TV..

well, if all of that has to fit in this one room, then you have to share the window space. Put a desk in one corner (basically along the mostly solid wall that parallels the headboard), and then put one armchair with a little sidetable and reading light to the left of that, leaving clearance for the door -- depending on the chair and on how much you use that door, you might have to move it to the left of the door instead, which will be less cozy, but a desk would never work there because desk+ chair = impossible to get past.

are you sure there's no comfy corner of the livingroom for a reading nook or desk?
