I vinyl sided my house and I now hate my front stairs and walkway...it's expensive to get new stairs and walkway. Maybe a small composite front landing and stairs with vinyl railings? still not so cheap

Not sure how much front yard you have and how much sweat equity you want to put into this project instead of hard earned cash. I think you have endless opportunities to take the focus away from the stairs by landscaping the area - by a pro it is expensive - but sometimes these pros will do a design, for a fee, and you do the work! It might be less expensive than new stairs, railings etc. You need plants that are a bit taller by the front entry - large sea grasses etc. to work with the dimensions of those beautiful tall windows. Right now what appears to be shrubbery is too short and brings your eye down towards those stairs - you need something to lift your eyes up. Trim the tree as well - is is drooping down to low, again, making one focus on those steps - Good luck and have fun!

My parents stoned theirs. Put a cap on the treads and stone the risers.

Whatever u do on either side of the stairs I would make it match. Like two urns/containers. Even with different plants. And I would get large containers 3' tall to distract from the steps. Can you paint the steps? Or put a runner on them?

We used a product called Daich Spreadstone on our concrete patio. I costs like 72 cents per square foot; is a DIY project, but is very easy to do and can be made to look like stone, brick, flagstone...whatever you like...without much artistic talent. I'd suggest checking out their website and see if it works for your steps. Then, do the landscaping others have suggested.
