We have a room off our foyer that was designed to be a formal living room but we wanted to utilize it as somewhat of an office space. It's ~14x13 in size since we added built ins and I'm having a hard time with furniture placement. It's open to the foyer and right across from the formal dining room. Want to make it look comfortable and inviting but also have a cool office feel too.

There is an air vent on the floor right between the 2 windows so I couldn't put our dark brown vertical filing cabinet there since it goes all the way to the ground (no space for air to flow).

Any suggestions on furniture placement? I'm not opposed with adding a piece of furniture like a small table between the chairs. Just didn't know if there was anything we could do to make it more cozy.
