The table is only 12" deep. It was very hard to find one that I liked less than 13". I could probably use those lamps with square shades. Would that look weird?

Jennifer....Ok....I'm playing devil's advocate here.

I think that is too much clutter with the entire top of that table filled. I'm thinking a tall, vintage floor lamp off to one side of the table. A nice (framed or not) piece of art above.

I do like some of those pieces you posted in your photo a few hours ago. The bird, the dried flower things on the far left.

I wouldn't fill the area with too much. That is a very beautiful table. It is a piece of art itself. Put certain select pieces there & let the table become the showpiece.

These lamps look like that "hollywood chic" you mentioned. At least I think so!

HI Bungalowmo - I just filled it with tschotches for Halloween meanwhile :-) ! Those lamps are cool but I am constrained by depth in the area - no more than approx. 13 inches total...

Those were just ideas/examples. But, I still wouldn't overload the area with just "things". What I mean is...choose a few items that you really love. I don't think you need a set of lights. Whether sconces or on the table...I just don't feel 2 are necessary.

Hi there love the room idea, was wondering if you might consider your style Art Deco? For this room I would consider mirror lamps or sconces, some decorative pieces keeping in this colour scheme. You can keep your budget down by doing this yourself covering some sea shells with gold leaf or maybe repurposing some old Christmas baubles just in time for the festive season. Looking forward to seeing more of this, good luck :)

I've tried a couple of things in your entry: chose the rug because the pattern reflects the pattern in the lamp(s), the celing light because it's kind of funky (I think), the blue stool to let the blue from the painting and the lamp come back again, and found a leaf bowl that could be nice on the console table.

That lighting fixture is super cool. .Thanks so much for all of the great ideas! I love the x bench next to the front door too. We are changing our door and will have room to put a bench or stool there... I am so sad that Horchow only has one of that ikat lamp left. I need to track it down!

Try calling Horchow. Maybe they received a return on a second lamp for you. Love the direction you are headed in. The grass cloth wallpaper really adds texture and warmth to your foyer.

Does anyone know what program can do mock-ups of different products on a photo that you take yourself? Staring at this post and now I can not stop thinking about my own entry console and I would love to try some different ideas.

I use Photoshop Elements. It's a steep learning curve though.
Maybe there are apps that are easier to use?
Otherwise you could start a dilemma here on Houzz and hope that someone will mock things up for you :-) I'm always happy to try things out for people if I have time. And there are other Houzzers who can make mock-ups too.

I would raise the picture up a bit - I think you need to separate the picture from the wainscoting. Also - I think the lamp shades should be oval or round and they seem a bit big - taking away from the beauty of the console table. Also - if you use round or oval shaped lamp shades it will break up all the straight angles I see, lots of square shapes. Not sure if that makes sense.

Oh it looks gorgeous indeed! Yippee! Agree with Rumble Strips that a bit of space between painting and wainscoting would be even nicer. I absolutely love the bowl! Such an interesting shape. And I like the square shades with the square design of the table.

Will try to raise the picture a tiny bit. You can't tell but the wainscoting is actually quite tall.. so to keep the picture at eye level, it needs to be quite close to the wainscoting... or it will look really odd.

Honestly, I think the picture would look best just sitting on the top of the table resting back against the wall. With the height of the wainscoting the picture is a smidge to high as it is now. But the pieces you've used are gorgeous!

Prefer a Large round mirror on it and very little on the table. Let it make it's own statement. Maybe a great mediums size tray or porcelain dish. Don't make it too fussy. Otherwise not to confuse you a gallery of 3 framed photos black and whites but large in size.

Oh yeah, I forgot that the wainscoting was so tall. Hmm... in that case Caleb Snell is probably right, or you might just leave it where it is now :-) Where do you want the bench? On the wall to the left or right of the front door? Where we put a bench earlier in the mock ups?
