I am getting ready to put hardwoods in the master bedroom that will match the hardwoods in the rest of the house. They are a clear finished hickory and show a lot of character. I have included pictures of the floors in the rest of the house that show what the bedroom floors will hopefully look like. I am also going to put tile on the sunroom off of the bedroom that I use as a home office. I have included pictures of the area from the bedroom looking out to the sunroom and a picture inside the sunroom. Please excuse all of the mess. I am cleaning out closets and such as I get ready for the installation of the floor. I am thinking I don't want tile with too much "movement" as the floors are pretty busy. I'd also like something with warmer tones and not grayish. My final thought is that I would probably want lighter colors on the tile since the room heats up because of all of the glass and it has a southern exposure. My tile guy doesn't think travertine is a good idea because doesn't think it will wear well in this space. Any suggestions?
