Sorry I thought the cook top was fine, I actually love my gas stove and don't think I would go induction if I have gas hook up.

When you look at ovens, get yourself familiar with convection. Most KitchenAid's are true convection ovens with a dedicated heating element behind the fan while many other brands only have a fan with no true dedicated heating element. Convection circulates the oven heat more evenly and purifies the air as it is drawn thru the fan and heating element allowing you to cook multiple items with no taste transfer. Convection ovens are also going to be more expensive than traditional bake ovens.
