It is a very symmetrical room. Perhaps remove the flowers, leave the books and the clock. Move the lamps to the middle or far sides of the night tables.
I am not sure the art over the bed is working. Might need a trio of plates or art.

I think adding a color would change the look you were after. I like the bedding just as it is.

I agree that everything is a little too symmetrical and matchy. I would leave the night stand on the right and it's accessories just as they are. I would replace the night stand on the left with a narrow console table along the other wall but butted up against the bed wall. Then I'd put a taller lamp in that corner. The metal
artwork on that wall would look good above the console table. Then I'd add a few colorful pillows to your beautiful bedding.

Hi---pretty, needs a bit more color. The lamps blend into the wall, so that is where I would start. A few pillows and Voila... Good Luck!

I like it. Very soothing, which I prefer for a bedroom. You could add color easily by adding a throw, but in my opinion, there's nothing wrong with the room..

One thing, I would use bigger artwork above the bed...

nice job ! picture on left wall seems to be hung slightly low. consider removing vase on nightstand, add a book if you read and see what you think. perhaps tie in a color from your art work into an accent pillow for the center of the bed.:)

To me, there is too much symmetry. And I like symmetry. On the side tables, I'd put different arrangements that hold the same weight but are different. I'd also change the art to include some pops of color and then add 3 throw pillows that bring in those colors. Perhaps you could include the colors in the side table décor. Perhaps a rug at the end of the bed that includes the extra color. The room needs some movement which it doesn't get because everything is so balanced. You're really close though!

Why don't you turn a couple or three three-years-old loose in there with a box of Lego and some washable Crayons....

There is just not enough interest and it looks a little steril...so you need to romantitize the room and create interest.

Am I seeing correctly -- do you have lanterns hanging over your bed in addition to the lamps on either side? To me, that would be what was wrong -- take down everything over the bed and replace that ensemble with one large or two medium pieces of art, with some color and able to be seen from ten feet away -- tiny detailed art is for little spaces that you pass close to, like in hallways.

Otherwise, everything is elegant but a little washed out. As others have said, some accent colors will help.

Thank you so much for the feedback. My friends and husband think I want to hear everything looks great, but I'd rather hear the truth. Now I know where to find it. I made a few adjustments and will look for fabric for a pillow and artwork. In the meantime, the dog will have to do!

I am still not crazy about the sconces over the bed. It gets too matchy. If this is a king size bed put three pictures over the bed with color and then you can bring some of that color down in pillows. If your room is large enough put a rug partially under the bed to warm up the room and if space allows put an upholstered bench at the end of the bed. The night stands need a vase with flowers of greens. Keep the height a little taller than the picture on the right side of the bed. The dog can stay! He adds interest! Good luck, you just need the right accessories.

I would take everything off the headboard wall. Add mirrors behind the nightstands. Paint headboard wall dark gray or maybe navy blue?. Add lumbar pillow where dog is;) Love your dog though!!

Everything is neutral-including the print over the bed-pick a color or 2 that will go with the wood( maybe peach or pink) and get lampshades, another picture over the bed, a throw blanket, etc.

It's a lovely room but I think the Picture over the bed to too small for the space. maybe an area rug under the bed with a coordinating pillow on the bed and a throw.

Still too much symmetry. I'd remove the lanterns over the bed, a little less symmetry on the night stands, and keep the dog.
