I am totally remodeling my kitchen, but having trouble with some of the spaces. I highlighted some of the problematic spaces in my photos. Definitely putting in an island, would like to keep the sink where it is, but need ideas to center it being that the space is close to a door. I think there is only one place to put the fridge because of space requirements, would love input.
Thought had crossed my mind to take down one of the walls and open up into the living room, but not sure what that would accomplish.

Also not sure about putting in another roof beam to balance out the other support beam, also considering a beaded board ceiling.
