I live in western Washington where the city I live in has maybe 4 snowplows for 35,000 people, and hundreds of miles of roadway. Needless to say, I hope if it snows, my husband is off so we don't have to go anywhere.

Several years ago we had a huge storm with most streets not plowed. My husband who is a firefighter was on duty in an area that had about a foot of snow on the road where they had a car fire. They couldn't get the engine down the road without fear of it ending up stuck, so they ran down their with their extinguishers and used that and snow to put the fire out!
