Brighten a beige room

Anyone have a suggestion for a new paint colour for my livingroom, dining room, entry and, hall? The soft furnishings are shades of beige/tan, rug is deep red (oxblood) and the drapes are dirty gold and burnt orange stripe. I am not replacing any of the existing, but I can remove pieces. I am open to all suggestions and welcome bold paint choices. Thanks

Painted and added a mirror, removed most of the pictures. I like the finished room. ☺️

we think you should have the hall wall (since its large) be the accent wall. Maybe have white striped wall, a little change goes a long way. Best of luck justjane.

Would painting the fireplace black add contrast in a good way? Or would it just add bulk? What about greyed out red walls? The floors are multi hued Pi Lang (spelling is a guess) mainly brown to red with bond wood highlights, the rug is oxblood red and dark gold.

Making small changes before you paint will help you decide. I suggest you exchange the lamps flanking the sofa to ones with a silver base- not quite so tall- and replace a couple of sofa pillows with silver tones as well.

It appears you have white trim? Changing the lamps, and sofa pillows, and removing the drapery panels would lighten the room. Then, it would make a bold paint color dramatic and fun.
