Shutters are nice, but a bear to keep clean.

Don't leave them bare! Adding window treatments will add warmth and texture to the room and finish the space. I would suggest panels on each side of the windows that are either functional to close or just stationary if you don't need the privacy. You could also add roman shades on the window for privacy and stationary panels on the sides. Hang the curtains high to pull your eye up and make the space seem taller. Hope this helps.

I saw this post and wondered what was decided? I have a similiar window situation and am trying to learn what would work best?

I purchased custom blinds but ended up semding them back and decided to not use any window treatments and I love the natural light in my kitchen!

Thank you for sharing. I'm feeling similar. But the whole project has been so overwhelming I think I'm going to live with a while before deciding. The decisions never end.

Just curious, did you choose an accent color for your kitchen? i think i need to because it is all antique white and dark wood contrasting which I love, but i think an accent color will give it more life/interest. I figured may chairs for island can be a color.
