Can you use your vinyl siding paint to cover a lighter coated vinyl?

I have read that painting a light colored vinyl siding with a darker pigment of paint will cause buckling and bending due to greater heat absorbency. Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams carry a line of Vinyl paint that allows you to use darker shade of paint over lighter shades. Is your product similar? Thank you!.
