I could be a fun little dressing area. Get an IKEA closet for the back wall Put a vanity with bench and mirror along the right wall. For fun put a folding screen next to the vanity. Instant glam.

Don't know what the dimensions of your "cubie" are but how about a small office? Make it snazzy with a Chandelier, Glam or Industrial to your own personal taste. You wouldn't have to hardwire anything, there are some decent plug-in options available at reasonable prices. Or maybe a large built in bench with a seat that lifts to store all those extra pillows, blankets, sheets, Holiday linens...am I the only one with too many of those things and never enough storage space? Or a glam primping area, again with chandelier and one of those full length 3-sided mirrors that you see in fitting rooms. IKEA has one for $149. I hope you post what you decide to do, would love to hear about it!

What a stunning space, so much potential!

I would put a dressing table in the alcove and a chaise / day bed along the wall. A dressing table may not be ideal for the lack of natural light, a tall chest or a bookcase may work better.

Add small lamps to your vanity.

looks like there is an outlet near by, nothing a little cord cover and some wall sconces cant fix.

Mount your mirror on the right wall. It will reflect the window light into the area.

Place hanging chair with LED candle sconces....all kinds and there are stands also.

The dark grey/ light grey walls sound wonderful. Big transformation beginning.

How about using that space as a cozy reading area. Cozy chair or pillows. You can add a floor lamp and hide the wires to a plug or the lighting in the rest of the room may work fine to softly light the space well enough depending on the positioning. Cieling track lighting also may be a consideration.

To cover the huge indent in the wall you may love fine art nature photography. Visually meditative mood-scapes on canvas bringing nature inside.
