HI - Are you keeping the red accent in the kitchen and the living room furniture ?? Here are some yellow based colors . I think a more muted yellow color would work the best . Have a look at these --- Oklahoma Wheat 2160 - 50 by Benjamin Moore .... or look at the Restoration Hardware Paints -- the Flax and Butter collections -- colors flax and butter are very pretty .

Try Benjamin Moore, White Dove - it is a more yellow based white and really absorbs color from other objects and reflects them rather beautifully.

Thank you all for your quick replies! Lefty47, yes, I am keeping the red accents. The Oklahoma wheat is a little too orange for me. I will check into white dove, afholla. I don't live close to a restoration hardware dealer so that wouldn't be an option.

I like Benjamin Moore's Philadelphia Cream. It has subtle undertones of yellow and is cheerful even at night. It whispers rather than screams.

It took me a long time and several mistakes to find the right paint color. I'm much more cautious these days.

Whatever color you decide to paint, use Benjamin Moore as it is the only quality paint on the market.
