Dark red or a lighter version of the blue that's on your deck/shutters.

Your door is lovely and I'm not sure I'd paint it. What is bothering me about the home is the fact that the door seems dwarfed by the windows. Consider adding a transom above the door to bring it into proportion with the windows.

We see a classic, all-American RED door. Just repaint the trim to match the rest of the house trim and not the door. Soften the look of the sidelight with planters in front!

Hello - a front door is always such a wonderful opportunity to take a risk. Keeping in line with your classic home however, you'll want to be conscious of the level at which you take that risk, so with that in mind, I see a lovely intense version of an inky blue. Your shutters should take cue from your door as should your steps up to the house. Take a look at this beautiful Martha Stewart color (Ink MS8318), it would look wonderful.

It looks as though your shutters are dark green to me. If so, one amazing color to try might be purple. I would set it off with white trim like your windows, though. Amazing!

Hi - your door looks like it doesn't belong. First of all it is shorter than the windows when it should be equal and welcoming. Sometimes on older homes a transom window is added to balance it out. You home really does not have much trim. I mean the casing around the windows should be 4 inches and that around the door should be 5 in. There is nothing around the entrance except a hole in the wall. I would get a carpenter to help with this area.

I would add a casing around the entrance, paint the casing and sidelights the white trim color. Now the entrance belongs to the house. After this you can leave the door brown or paint it Since you have the blue green color, you need to be careful for there will be too many colors. I would paint the door to match the shutters and the porch floor a lighter and grayed down version of what is there now.

The porch ceiling looks like it has siding on it. When approaching the entrance you see the clapboard - that is good but looking up it looks like there is clapboard on the ceiling going the opposite way. To set this off the ceiling should be beadboard. Most builders have no clue.
