Charging Station/Drawer

How does the outlet connect behind the drawer? Are there any issues with the cord/electrical line getting in the way of the drawer opening/closing? Thanks!

Thanks for your question! We rigged up a bungee cord system that provides gentle tension to pull the electrical wiring back against the rear cabinet wall. When the drawer is opened the wire goes with it (extending the bungee), and when the drawer is closed, the bungee helps the wire return to the back wall of the cabinet (the wire runs down the back wall and through the floor). With this system, we haven't had any issues with the wiring interfering with the drawer mechanisms. Hope that helps!

Thanks so much for answering so promptly! Could you provide a manufacturer or vendor of this bungee system? Thanks again!

One extra question: is the drawer size standard? Or did you have to shrink the drawer size to accommodate the bungee system behind it?

We came up with the bungee system ourselves (it's custom made using parts readily available at the hardware store) - you might try googling "cord management", or just try some things until it works. The drawers are made shallower to allow for the outlet box and the wires (so in a standard 24" deep cabinet, these drawers are about 19" deep.)
