Just my two cents. I really like the ideas of the poster above (Shakúff) of having cascading, multi-tiered pendants to really draw your eye through the incredible space you have and therefore highlight the extensiveness of it. Even though the space is circular, orbs (both the first suggested single large orb encased in wood and the multi orb pendants by Shakúff) seem to make the space seem static and not fluid. The first photo of pendants that has rectangular drops provides movement in the space, drawing your attention to its entirety. It's almost like the fluidity of raindrops falling, with a sense of movement. Actually, I cannot tell if those are rectangles or perhaps long cylinders. Actually, a cylindrical shape would be awesome because it would repeat the roundness of the area that you're looking for, without giving a flat look like the orbs do. Cylinders have length to draw the eye through the space giving continuity and fluidity. Hope that makes sense. I would go for this look, and design ideas are endless for types of glass and materials to make it really fit and personalize your space. I am trying to remember some of the manufactures that have the unique look with some bling like you mentioned. Feiss definitely has a lot of great items, and sets that are coordinated so you can match something from your foyer to other parts of the house or the common area to bring a cohesive look to your home.
