Barn doors are all the rage, I certainly love the look. I ordered a barn door from rustica hardware, paid an additional $500 for "assembled and ready to hang " - the door arrived, not ready to hang. I called Rustica Hardware and explained that I had received the door and all hardware separately. What this company does not disclose is that if you order without the $500 assembly you receive a pile of wooden boards which you have to assemble and make a door. In other words, a door kit. The quality of the door was acceptable, we still have strong paint fumes coming from the door after 2 weeks of hanging. Total cost for the door was $2500, $1500 too much.
