Began a remodel of my kitchen and dining room four weeks ago. The two rooms were oddly divided, allowing for a separate kitchen and dining area, but both were cramped and crowded - plus there was not a lot of light in the dining room.

As a result of the floor plan, the kitchen layout was awkward. It was very hard for two people to work in there. In addition, the cabinets were cheap and very old.

The only thing it had going for it was that the appliances were new and modern.
