When we had our new countertop installed I got talking with the installer about remodeling, and he mentioned how Ikea cabinets fall apart within a matter of years based on what he's seen in his line of work. I have no opinion, just sharing what I was told.

It depends on the "line" and the install. The high-end line with the professional install means your contractor should be able to get this done without too much damage.

If it is the entry level products with a DIYer without much experience (ie. they did damage just be installing) then you may have issues.
