Photos of the kitchen would be helpful.

I think a light gray, like BM Gray Owl, would complement both the cabinets and the countertops.

I also had a kitchen with pink counters and choose Ancient Marble from MAB/Sherwin Williams. The green undertones really made the pink fade into the background. At first it looked a bit odd, but everyone who walked into the room thought it looked great. My cabinets were an antique white.
