A color that would pop with the aqua would be red. Use it in your accents and art

im assuming you still need to paint the other cabinets lol. is that one row of subway tiles? are you going to tile? . are those painted counter tops? i love the color and the cabinets. and the floor. no window curtain. nothing over the cabinets. get some fun colored containers for all your counter items. orange and brown work well for you . the fridge side of the room with all the baskets and cords needs to be cleaned up a bit. wondering if there is a better storage solution for that area. less is more with a few pops.

Your kitchen is beautiful, but you've already exceeded your quota for clutter. If you don't use it every day, take it off the counter. I would also eliminate the single row of tiles along the counter.

A single painting with teals and reds, a couple of red dishtowels, and you're done. Resist the temptation to overdecorate. It's a functional space. Keep it simple.

Commit to the subway tiles and go all the way with them, so you get a finished look. Replace the wanded blinds with cordless accordian shades - no strings to get in the dishwater - you'll love them.

Wouldn't put anything above the cabinetry and would remove as much as I could from the counters. If you need things to be handy, just place in the cabinet above. Then add interest with color, a roman blind, area rug and some art..that will make your room pop. If ideas below are too colorful, you could go with rattan roman shade, and more subdued accessories.

Hi. When you said 'not all cluttered and colourful' did you mean not lots of anything fussy and not lots of color also? I like the still life!! Posting this cause I often do. :)
And are the walls the same in your living area - blue or aqua?

Hi---I like the wall color---am a bit confused about the cabs-some brown, some white (lower) some ivory (upper)? Anyway, paint the cabs one color IVORYor WHITE, add a mosaic backsplash (will add interest, color, and unite the various hues), a new window shade, and a few necessary accessories. @Maureen, why'd you remove your still life, so pretty?? a bit of kitchen fruit... cause we don't know if our houzzer has kitchen wall space but she very well might. :)

I think either red or orange would pop.......here's a few rooms for example..........





I'm not suggesting coca cola :) .....and one is a living space,,,,but it shows how well the colors can work together for that pop. :) And one has some stainless accents. Hope this helps, Good luck! :)

Thank you everybody! That helps a lot. The only thing I should have mentioned is that the cabinets are staying the way they are lol. That is the way that I wanted it, something different. Lol . I was in a box thinking about all the colours I wanted in the house and putting that with darker and lighter ones all over, grey, blue, green, mocha like, clearly not working. My floor is the same throughout house.

No problem cabs all different---all the more reason the mosaic would be ideal for your space. Keep us posted. CheerS!

I love the color of the kitchen, very reminiscent of Tiffany green. I know this is a little darker than your color, but this style of tile (on the wall behind the bathtub) would look great as a backsplash/compliment the color of your walls! Let me know what you think! : )

to be honest it looks unfinished. paint the lowers darker to tie better the counter and floor.Its your house and if you love it go with it, but when people come over they will think you are half way done...

Yes was afraid of that double colour but everyone id ask never gave an honest opinion so went with it in thinking same thing I can also paint darker not lighter that's why there is more white . I liked the idea of having a two tone kitchen but we didn't have an island.So I can keep white on upper but go darker just on bottom?

I agree with flair lighting - typically when you mix woods/colors in a kitchen - the uppers are one color and the lowers another OR all cabs are the same but the island is different. What you have is half a kitchen in white, the other half brown and that's why it looks unfinished.

yes go darker on the bottoms, and keep the uppers white, or go with all white, and add contrast with the back splash. you have good intentions, and its looking good. but i cant let you leave it "half done" with out at least giving you a real opinion ;)
