For cabinet color, would be nice to have this green/blue next to your floor tile.

Seriously, why do you want to update? Is it the cabinets and counter? Appliance color? Lighting/window?

Quick fix might include hardware for your cabinets, a fancy new faucet and some type of window treatment besides or in addition to the blinds. Add a rug on the floor (helps a lot when standing at the stove). And change out the clock. Later on you can change the countertops and upgrade appliances. The one thing that looks amiss is the floor color. Doesn't seem to go with the white but it may just be my computer.

problem is the whole house walls and carpets are already seafoam green :X

Colonialgp i think it needs some updating its a kitchen from the 70's it was just taken care of very well the people we bought it from were very clean and i think they replaced the floor. I think that updating the cabinets may make everything else look a little more updated.

Think it would help to post photos of adjoining room.
