My kitchen island is a contemporary piece and I need to put baseboards around it. Can I use the same granite that I used for the top of the kitchen island as baseboards? Will this look okay? Or is using wood better? I have seen floor tiles use to match the floor but I know I will be changing the floor later down the line so that may not work for me.
