Not quite sure why you built the frame you would usually find the art and then have it framed.

Beautiful, contemporary space. Nice job. For me, the design of the space leaves you endless options for art.
While making your home attractive and inviting for guests is important, you are the one going to look at your walls, everyday. What are your interests? The brick wall lends itself to vintage movie posters, old play bills or your favorite bands concert posters.
From your posted images, everything seems to "have its place. Maybe a little chaos would be a great contrasting effect; think Jackson Pollock. There is an artist called Scramble Campbell ( http://scramblecampbell.com) that's paints abstracts during live concert performances.
Don't forget to look for the artist in yourself, too. Hanging your own work will add to the pride you obviously have in your home.
There are several DIY art project that will leave your friends wondering why you kept your talents a secret for so long.
I've mounted images I have taken on to plywood, crudely trimmed and cut into the wood and finished it by burning parts with a hand torch I picked up at Home Depot. The result looks like a vintage piece, rescued from a fire.

I love what you've done so far. Great colors for the space. I love the turquoise and red, which you don't see together that often...successfully!

How big is the frame? Yes, usually you would select the art then the frame. But you can work backwards, too.

There are a lot of mural type offerings out there. But then you are limited to your size and above (to cut down). A lot of these are peel and stick so you would need some kind of backing. Not sure if they would stick on the brick properly. That first one (Borneo) comes in a huge size.

What a great place to put a bunch of black and white family pictures.

I too was thinking a forest wall mural. If you want more edgy, you could hire a graffiti artist and customize the colors/design to fit your personality and your home. BTW...your place looks great! Nicely done.

Sorry I should have mentioned I love the house and graffiti would be cool maybe even find a graffiti artist in your town and get it done on a huge canvas so you don't damage the brick. Have fun this space is awesome.

As for my taste, i am into sketching, artistic stuff as I myself am a cg artist. But when it comes to doing art for your home, you always are too tired to start.
Using a photo is too common so thats why i like the idea of using grafitti or a sketch.
I cannot hire a graffiti artist here in Albania since there are none. So my best bet is to order a print.
I wont stick it to the bricks directly, i will make a board.
