Sealed Door

Can you explain what you mean when you say this is a sealed unit? We just had our house built and requested a frameless steam shower. Now all the sudden the shower door guy says he can't do a frameless door in the steam shower. It must be a framed door. A framed door will ruin the look of our bathroom, the steam unit is already in. I see photos all over houzz of steam showers with frameless doors....how did you do this? Any help would be so very appreciated. Thank you!

Our glass guy said that frameless steam showers will have slight gaps where the glass meets the wall, between the sides and the door, and between the bottom of tdoor and the floor of the shower because they can't get the glass completely sealed tight to the walls. Our only option is to live with the gaps, or go with a framed shower. Those are not my favorite choices either, although he does say that people do frameless in a steam shower all the time, and The gaps don't bother them. I'm not sure I would be happy with gaps, but I would live with those over having to use a framed system. I am on the hunt for something that will either close the gaps, or eliminate the need to live with them.
