help me stage the foyer!

any ideas for some simple accessories to stage this foyer. I'm talking about a rug, maybe a potted plant. we will be renting this house out for the next two years (job reasons) and we don't want people to see it as a large, cold and empty house. thanks!

HI -- Are you renting it out furnished or empty ?.... You could just use some FLOR.com carpet tiles instead of an area rug . They have many colors and patterns and are washable and can be replaced etc. If the house is being rented empty then I would not add a lot of things ... renters will be expecting it to be empty and bare , wouldn't they ??.
