would this work for a mediterrean kitchen? Also would it look ok if we did a brown large sink with a stainless faucet, the cabinets are a dark cherry?

We think so! It's definitely a Mediterranean motif. We would just recommend matching the metals of as many of your fixtures and lighting as possible. So if you choose warm metals we would recommend the brass option, if you choose cool metals the pewter selection would match better. I attached a photo of the pewter version for you to see. We also have a Tuscan collection which I have attached a photo of, that may have other good options for your kitchen!
