Am I in the proper forum for window boxes? If so, I planted some salvia last year in a window box, and while I was pleased with its vigorous growth, it got a bit too tall for a window box.

Is there a dwarf variety? I purchased a very dark purple variety that went so well with chartreuse sweet potato vines. I could mail order.

Should I just be more aggressive with pinching and dead-heading on regular plants? They were well over a foot, maybe 18 inches.
