My guess would be a whitewash of paint. Thinking of doing this on the home we've just purchased.

This home was a unique situation. The brick that everyone loves was a part of the original home's design. We built an addition onto the home and our great team actually hand painted in the white wash to make all the bricks match. Thank you for your interest!

Here's the thing-there are no informational videos on how to do brick like this and I think we all would LOVE to see it done! I want to do this but my husband isn't convinced. If we had an example of it I think he would be more on board. And we'd all appreciate it. Heck, I'd even pay to get a chance to see it done. I contacted a masonry worker to do a light mortar wash for a similar effect but they've never done it either and I think they thought I was nuts. They want $1k to do something they've never done before-and I am confident I can do something like this. Any help would be appreciated! This is the only thing I've found so far with a little bit of explanation "Tactfully coating areas with thin and thick paint, then scrubbing or washing away the wet paint in some areas." HTH.
