basicilly what i have is a 5*5 greenhouse i bought from biglots wraped it with a reflictive mylar insluation from homedepot, i raised one shelf with plywood up closer to the light so that i can rase and lower the shelf as needed depening on how big they get

i have the heater i keep it warm since these are floursent lights they dont emit to much heat and some seedling need more heat to encouage rooting its not on all the time i have it and a fan on a timer.

the bigger pots i intended on putting the larger plants in them like tomatoes squash and watermelon, at the time i didnt know about root plugs i might redo them but id rater not start over unless necessary,

i recently planted 10 more basil and 10 more peanut plants so as of now all my lights are over plants

btw thanks for the compliment, this is also my first year going this route with the grow room and starting from seedlings

    1. You need fluorescent lights very close to the plants

    2. You need a oscillating fan

PS - That must of cost a pretty penny!

My "grow room" is part of the guest bedroom. During March, April, and May (not usually guest months) a 4 foot long wire shelf unit is set up and shop lights are hung from the shelves. They are on adjustable chains so they can be raised and lowered as needed to be 1-2 inches above the tops of the plants. If I want to grow a lot I can use all the shelves and fit 12 flats under the lights. Haven't need that much space most years. I use a heat mat to provide the extra heat needed for germination but move plants off of that as soon as they are germinated. The approximately 65 degree normal room temp in there works great once things are germinated and helps keep the plants from growing tall and leggy.

I don't understand why you would want to put up a greenhouse inside your home. What are you gaining over having just shelves and lights?

Here is a link that might be useful: 4 shelf wire rack

@weirdtrev it is inside actually in my basement the weather in michigan isnt the most reialible so if i was to have one outside side witch i eventualy would like to do would have to be very study i plan on doing aquaponics in the near future once i buy my own house im only 25 now so i got ways to go b4 i get that far into it.
the green house i bought isnt very great just basic i tried to get the lights to raise but the way it is buit got a lil frustrating to me so i when that route its surported for the weight and im planing on growing micro green and gonna try to sell them im a chef and i have alot of chef freinds that will apricate good greens
i will probly keep the inslusation maily just because of the reflectve mylar with the light

T5 or not, you want them as close to the plants as possible without burning them(my plants touch my fluorescent lights without problems).. You aren't growing with high pressure sodium or metal halide, you need fluorescent lights as close as possible to plants for decent results..

Get a strong fan or a few fans.. You spent all that money as it is, what is another 50 bucks for fans? Fans do wonders... So does light very close to the plants.. The Mylar does help as well, good job with that! I wish I had the most to spend on projects like this! I feel bad buying a $4 blueberry on sale!
