I doubt it. Alcohol is an antiseptic. If anything, it will prevent evil coming into your rooting environment.

I spray all my grapevines regularly with alcohol and water. It doesn't hurt the plants, but the bugs hate it!

Same thing for charring. Purifier!

That's why half oak barrels are used often as planters. They work!

Anything that had food or drink in it is probably safe

I trusted two of my prize and expensive rhododendrons to half whiskey barrels, both died even though ithey were planted inbest quality ericaceous compost with loads of drainage holes The barrels are charred., In hindsight I should have lined the barrels as there is an obviously an adverse reaction in the charring that killed the plants
