Well, since this post didn't generate any responses, I decided to slog through these two bean and pea sites looking for answers:

For anyone who might be interested, it appears from these sites that beans and peas share only one disease, and that's Powdery Mildew.

I had the same question. This master gardener site recommends that you should NOT follow peas after beans, or beans after peas, as they DO get the same diseases and are prone to the same afflictions due to crowding, humidity, soil borne pathogens, etc. See: https://www.mastergardenersd.org/beans-2/

If you are talking about Pisum sativum (English peas) and Phaseolus vulgaris (common bean) your major problem would be excess nitrates. Both are nitrogen fixers. Peas following beans may have excess plant growth at the expense of production. Otherwise only powdery mildew would be common.

How do you, Farmerdill, feel about pole beans following peas that became brown and straw-like moving from root to tip over time, then died (about mid-April) as Florida's hot summer-like "Spring" replaced our short cool season? Can one plant pole beans or southern peas to follow the "browned from bottom up" snow and snap peas?

Pole beans (common) have heat problems. There are only a few varieties that can stand the summer heat. Vignas ( either southern peas or long beans) do well in summer.
