Where do you buy your garlic?

Johnny's Selected Seeds and Fedco Seeds each carry several types of garlic for fall planting, both hardneck and softneck. I'm in zone 5 and have had good luck with both companies' garlic overwintering when I've planted it in the fall.

I've purchased from these in the past.

Or buy garlic at a farmer's market or health food store and use the cloves to get started. Target date for planting is around Oct 1st or so. Suggest you buy the bulbs when available and store them until the end of Sept. Advantage of a farmer's market is that you'll get what grows well ocally. In your zone, undoubtedly a hardnecked variety.

This garlic thread reminded me to order early this year, things sell out fast. Was googling for my fav Spanish Roja and I came across Ashley Creek Farm . Prices seem to WAY too good to be true; I tried Dave's garden and no mention of them. If anybody has dealt with them please let me know. Besides garlic, $6 a pound, A POUND, where else can you get a "Garlic Fest" T for 7.95?

I bought mine from The Garlic Store and Filaree Farms.
