Weather. Be patient. If the plants look good, the cukes will follow. In Ohio you are in a gardening area just slightly ahead of my own. You are in the transition period where plants grow vegetatively and where they start heavily yielding.

It is 100% normal for cukes to abort most of their fruit early in the bearing season.

Don't worry about it, just be patient and before you know it you will be wondering what on earth you will do with all the cukes.

It is normal and OK. Nothing is wrong.

Glad to hear it, my Diva is doing the same thing and I was starting to get worried :-( My plant must have had about 10 that would grow out a bit, nice and cute, and then yellow and shrivel and die. I'm hoping justaguy's words come true and it starts actually making cukes soon!

Same problem here too, different variety. :) We had one cuke grow (and overripen) and about a dozen set just fell off after that... now it's nice and bloom-y and starting to frighten me. ;)

Keeping up on the watering seemed to help, but they'd fall anyways. *shrug* I'm just glad to see I'm not alone! ;)

my diva was a slow starter as well. The plant was pretty big but dropping most blossoms early on. But when it did start producing, it was a machine. My favorite variety so far.
