Love that table!

An ikat pattern!

I have attached a photo and it has navy and white ikat curtains but I like the pattern on the large navy and white pillow shown. I think it would be nice to see a mostly crisp white panel with the pillow pattern shown. Ikat is lovely but i think as a trend it's over used (not judging just sayin). Maybe you can add accents of orange or persimmon or pale pinks, lavenders, greys, bone, just layer it all in with texture and pattern (silks, chenilles, wool, canvas) and then add small natural elements (your table is one), a woven basket, pussywillow branches in a vase.

That navy wall screams for a large black and white print in an antiqued leafed silver frame with a broad white matte around the image. If $$ are tight then go to michaels and buy canvas panels and do home art. I have been seeing this melted crayon art that is easy to do all you need is is a heat gun and tons of crayons where you can pick the colors you like and go to town with it.

I love your boldness. Not too many people would dive in and diy a navy wall without doubting themselves so have fun and please post so we can see what you have done.

For your chairs: 502 aquamarine geometric tile. It looks muted blue-gray
I wrote down 502 Indigo, which introduces a touch of orange. But I couldn't re-find it, darn. Both of these patterns will hide small stains very well.

For the drapes- I love stripes that aren't stripes.

You have a very clean, uncluttered look to your home. Adding a little pattern and texture via fabrics will keep it warm and homey. I look forward to seeing your finished project.

Dramatic room! I would suggest that you keep the chairs fairly neutral so that you can add art on the blank wall and an area rug. A solid white/off white upholstery with navy piping would pop against the navy wall. Use an ikat for your drapes.

Hi karrak604, similar to michigammemom's comment, I would either have a simple fabric for the chairs and more graphic designed in the curtains / accessories and vica versa.

HI --- Your doing great you just need to bring some of the flavor from your living room into that room too. Can you get some more of the fabric thats on the livingroom chair(example picture ?) for your dining chairs? Don't have anymore Navy in the room - like in the drapes -- use soft colors that will look good with it. Go into the soft golds and light greens . Love the drapes in the one example picture. I love the table and your other furniture choices. You have great taste !

Good start to the room with a nice deep blue. If you enjoy Ikat's you might think about utilizing one which has several colors in it, rather than a two tone blue and white. A multi color base would pull colors and textures in from the LR and would actually highlight the rich blue of the wall color creating a vibrant interior.

It looks as though your d.r. is very small and open to the kitchen. I sure would like to see what the kitchen looks like. Keep it simple! The table and the chandelier can be the accents. The prints people are showing you are gorgeous, but maybe too much for a small dining room? What will your dishes look like? China? Pottery? Paper plates? Do you prepare and serve exotic food? Maybe the prints are too exotic for your household. Use a lot of wood to warm up the blue. Dark Blue is usually not a color for places where food is to be served. Observe restaurant decor at the higher-end places.

Wouldn't want it to get to nautical, but red is the appetite color. Can you inject some of that to your scheme?

That table is too gorgeous not be show cased as is, have you considered putting transparent acrylic Chairs? The orange one will complement the navy so well. I like Melissa L's suggestion about the curtains
