Looking for Red Bell Pepper Recommendations

I have had reasonably good success growing bell peppers in containers for 2 years now, at least if I want green peppers. But it takes FOREVER for the peppers to turn red, and meanwhile the plant stops making new fruit. I'm hoping for some recommendations of varieties that will turn red faster, and allowing them to ripen won't cut down on yield so drastically.

Check out "Ace" peppers.

We have a very short season here & put our peppers in raised beds with hoops (open during the very warm weather) to try to get ripe peppers. We were getting ripe "Ace" peppers at this time last year but didn't do any "Ace" this year & regret it.

They were something that we picked up by fluke at a nursery last year but have made them a definite for next season.

Thanks for the recommendation. I don't recall seeing that name in the nurseries around here, but I'll definitely look for it next year.

Any one else that has had good results with Ace, or has a different recommendation?

Great results this year with Ace, plants are loaded with nice big blocky peppers already turning red.
