Save those lids. You might want to use a couple of buckets to store your potting soil. A tight fitting lid will keep it dry. The lids can be used as plant saucers.I have a lot of those buckets that I got from a restaurant

I have 4 of those pails I use for water collection off our garden shed. There are eaves troughs of a sort but no downspout. I watched the water pouring out the end in a thunderstorm and thought what a waste. I took 4 of those buckets, Cut the center out of the lids Put a piece of plastic screening over the bucket and put the lids on. Now I have water collection there and no mosquitos can lay eggs and the debris stays out of the water.

Just put your thinking cap on and you'll figure out what to do with the lids (and the buckets) Don't forget to put holes in the bottom of your buckets if you use them as planters. I have a crafters soldering iron that I use for making holes. It cuts through the plastic like butter.
