Regardless of what big corporations are or aren't doing, saving seed of food crops is simple. And important.

Let's get to it.

I will be doing more of that this year.

Two of the easiest crops of which to save seed are beans and tomatoes because they seldom cross pollinate. Therefore, large isolation distances aren't required. Just let beans mature and dry on the vine. Process tomato seeds by fermentation as instructed in the link below. It's fun and easy.
