We had these handrail brackets made by the same fabricator which did the guardrail for the main stairs. This is a fairly economical approach as long as you have other items being fabricated & finished. We have done something similar to this on quite a few projects now, and feel that compared to the less attractive stock hardware you tend to find readily available, and the nice but high priced architectural hardware, this type of touch is a great way to add a lot of value to the project.

I was just curious on how this was attached to the wall? Thanks,
Jessica

Jessica,

Sorry did not see the attachment question earlier - The detail picture is not showing the other side which should make it clear - the rail bracket has a tab at the bottom of the uphill side which is surface mounted to the wall with wood screws finished to match the bracket. I'm attaching an image from the top of the stairs looking down - in the lower left side of the image you can see the railing bracket from the other side.

Love this bracket! So they are custom made? Who made them for you?

Yes they were custom per our spec - Advanced Iron Works Inc. the same fabricator who made the railings fabricated the brackets for us as well.

These are great looking handrail brackets; I wish I could buy some just like these.

Where can we buy this handrail bracke?
