Don't worry the frosts at this time of year are unlikely to harm the leaves. However the buds if any can be burned and would benefit from a frost blanket.

I piled old tires around some of my tulips during a cold spell one spring. The tires absorbed heat from the sun during the day and kept the tulip buds from freezing at night--not the most attractive solution, but it worked!

I live in zone 3. Often my and my neighbour's tulips and daffodils are up before the snow is gone. We have had hard frosts and the flowers survive so I wouldn't worry about them. It is in the nature of spring blooming plants to survive frost. If you want to give them a hand you could mulch them and --or--wash the frost off of them with the hose before the sun hits them in the morning.

Living where it is colder we have learned the trick to saving tender--or any-- plants from a surprise frost is to water them in early morning before the sun hits them. We have done this with many garden plants--Strawberries, Tomatoes and corn to name some. The water raises the plants temperature to just above freezing. It is not frost per se that kills plants. It is the sun hitting the frozen plants. The hot suns rays hits the frozen plant, the moisture inside the plant can't move and the cells of the plant explode

Texas is a tad different than Canada. While it's near or below freezing here one day the next it can be 100F(38c) the next. Those kinds swings do serious damage to flower petals. Id err on the side of caution if you want a nice show of flowers.
