What model is the sink please?

Is that a Herbeau Luberon fireclay sink? It's beautiful in the space.

How far out is this sink supposed to be mounted? Is there a grate for it?

Hello Esna, Thanks for your questions. Yes, there are agrates available for thes sinks. Herbeau fireclay sinks can be 'bumped our' appx 1" ( as shown in picture) or installed flush against the counter (European style). They can also be undermounted. The sinks are very heavy and may need support. If you'd like more information, please email info@herbeau.com or call 1-800-547-1608 to speak to a technician. We'll be happy to send you specs & instructions. Have a great day, The Herbeau Team

Thank you for the information. I actually already have the sink, but it is not yet installed. Where are the grates available? (I have ruled out Great Grates; they make 3 or 4 grates that fit this sink, but all are far too modern and inappropriate for any farmhouse sink. And the prices are exorbitant.) Are there other options?
I appreciate your help. This sink is such an investment, I want to protect it.

Esna, My apologies- I don't know of any companies besides Great Grates that make grates for this sink. I have spoken with other customers who say they use rubber or silicone mats & smaller grates found at Target or Bed Bath & Beyond.and that works well for them. Herbeau is actively looking into alternatives (including manufacturing the grates inhouse) but nothing definite yet.. Hope that helps...

Please keep us Houzzers posted -- and maybe post on Garden Web as well --if Herbeau starts making them. That would be great. (No pun intended.) As you know, many sink companies do make their own.

Grate News -- very clever; love it! And I actually do have some grate news --- I found a one that fits the Luberon sink after scouring the Internet and checking dimensions on a plethora of models. It arrived yesterday and is perfect: Wells Sinkware #WL-GWW2614 Wentworth Stainless Steel Sink Bottom Grid 25.5 Wide x 13.75 Long. Purchased at kitchensource.com
