The only NEW reg. I installed was preset, and then you can adjust it either up or down. The reg. use different color springs for preset pressure washer's best I remember. Most washers have a guage to show working pressure's and use that to adjust the wand outlet. Lots of others on here know alot more than me so if your not in a hurry wait for them.

thanx,giventake i'll wait for more info what you said sounds familar i appreciate it and will wait till i feel comfortable enough with more info. the unloader spring in the twist handle has no tension on it which leads me to belive that ther is some sort of way to set it ?????the hex and lock nut are not tight at all in the handle.
