I have a question on dimensions of banquette and the lighting

I am about to have my builder build me a banquette in my new family room/kitchen. I'm curious about the light under the banquette, is there one on the other side? Does it have a nice effect? Please, how high and deep did you build the banquette? I was thinking 19" high and 22" deep. I'm wondering if 22" is too deep. Mostly children sitting here.

I'm guessing that you are looking at the bin pull on the end of the bench and think it's a light. It's not. There is a long drawer under the bench, one on each side. The bench seat is 20" deep with a sloped back (16 1/2" of actual seat space) and 17" high. I think the 22" might be a little deep and 19" is really too high especially for kids.

Where can I go to purchase this type of bench sitting? I can't find it nowhere?

This was custom made for this house by a cabinet maker.

Thanks for he specific dimentions. I am building a banquette in a 13x4 space and an debating a straight bench with chairs on each end vs. a bench that returns around the corners. I was afraid that 4" would be too small a space to fit a person at the end but it looks perfect here!

Is a 16" seat adequate? We are exceedingly space limited on a remodel we are doing and trying to decide what is acceptable for a banquette seat. We would like an upholstered back and have 18" total. Thank you for any advice you can offer!!

16" is a bit tight. I generally try for at least 18". But sit on a chair, measure a 16" seat and see if it will work for you.

can you give the blueprints for the baquette seat?
I am trying to build a "L" shaped seat and really like this design
