spruce tree graft

Some lowlife cut one of my large 18 year old spruce trees off at about 4 feet to steal a Christmas tree. It is in a long row of spruce along the fenceline at the front of my acerage house and I don't want to have to plant a new small one in a row of mature trees. Is there any way I can graft a new younger spruce onto the stump so that I don't have a blank in my row?
