It may be Neolamp. pulcher. Neolamp. brichardi, daffodil, and pulcher are all closely related, and at one time all considered brichardi. No its not beuscheri. It is a very nice looking fish, its hard to say what the fry will grow up to look like. It could also be a cross as well.

Looking at the photos again, I've never seen a plucher with yellow fins, or a daffodil with body markings like that.

Ya i know, we are having the worst time iding this fish. You would think its a pulcher but the colors and markings do not match that of a pulcher. He mated with my daffodil and they are shooting those babies out, we was told not to breed the babies though, because we would come across deformaties through the cross-breeding. Darn we was going to do that too!
I really hope I can get someone on here to id this fish.

Well....I've been keeping "Lamps" since the 70's, and don't ever remember seeing any imports that looked like that. I've seen tons of them over the years. I really think what you have is a cross between a pulcher (body color) and a daffodil (yellow fins). I don't nescessarily think the fry will be deformed, and they might turn out interesting. I don't see any real problem in breeding them either, it will probably be many generations before deformities will show up. Most of the aquarium varieties we have are the result of inbreeding, if you only get one sport from a spawn, you either have to breed it back to its parent, or to its siblings to get more, later you would out cross if needed. Guppy breeders inbreed alot, and use line breeding techniques, only occasionally out crossing, and only if it is going to improve the strain they are working on. HAVE FUN!
