how to attach slats so you can clean under them

This is so amazing that I copied the idea for our front entry - we used frosted glass with fixed windows (they are bathroom windows, so frosted was best anyway) and now we are trying to devise a way to do the slats where you can clean the spider webs and glass under them. How did you attach these? Are you able to clean the glass under the slats?

Thanks so much for any advice you could give!!!

Hi again marsia - We made sure not to have glass directly behind the screen. For the carriage gates, we used polycarbonate as it takes less maintenance than glass.

The screen is attached to a metal frame with a metal tab system that mates with tabs attached to the wall (not sure if that helps). Try working with a local metal fabricator/craftsman to create a hinged, swing-out frame system for you. All the best - HM

Sorry it took so long to respond... The metal is PAC-CLAD® Petersen Aluminum Panel with a Dark Bronze Kynar Painted factory finish.
